The Guild today reached a new milestone when membership numbers tipped 75 for the first time in its 29 year history. The newest member is freelance writer & photographer, Jo Vaughan, who is well known to many through her articles in the caravan industry press. Jo has also won the Caravan Club’s 'Caravan Photographer of the Year’ award no less than twice. The Guild’s numbers are not expected to remain at 75 for long though as other applications are already in the pipeline.
Chairman Nigel Rosser said “I’m absolutely delighted that the Guild has reached this milestone. We have been going from strength to strength in recent years as we have strived to become a lively, but professional, organisation respected by the industry we serve. Next year, 2012, the Guild will be celebrating its 30th birthday. We already have several events in the pipeline including a Thames riverboat cruise, digital workshop, press familiarisation tour of Germany, and industry dinner”.
